For over sixty years Baird Manufacturer Division has directed its efforts toward assisting production men with the problems encountered in pumping oil wells. Solutions to some of these problems were made possible by the introduction of new principles in ball and seat design such as the double seal, and the triple seal. At a time when gas lock was a real challenge to profitable well pumping, the Baird snubber cage was developed. Baird also did something about corrosion failure in balls and seats with the development of our Sheralloy grade assembly for the most severe pumping conditions.

At Baird we are proud of our pioneering background in oil industry manufacturing. However, we promise our concentration will be on future developments and techniques for improved tools. We pledge our assistance to production men, pump repair men, and supply company personnel in their never ending fight "to keep the well on the pump."
